Many people think just like me…their dog is not their dog, they are another family member.  My dog doesn’t rank as high as my kids, but she does come in a very close second.  Because I do care for my 7 year old German Shepherd, I wanted to make sure she had the most comfortable bed possible.  After a close evaluation and comparison of all the dog beds I could possibly find, I chose the DogPedic Sleep System.

As for comfortability, the thickness of the foam is not too thin and not too thick.  The amount of memory foam is determined by the size of the dog and the matching bed size.  Dogs with ailments forcing long term confinement do quite well on the DogPedic Foam Mattress.  The special design provides relief from bed pressure and the air fill pockets lend support to ailing joints and bone.

There are other foam beds available, but they don’t allow the dog’s weight to be evenly spread over the surface of the mattress.  With this even weight disbursement over the pressure surface, circulation is supported, joints are protected and best of all, pets sleep better.

In addition to the specially designed memory foam mattress, the cover is also unique.  It is water proof and stain resistant, important characteristics when dealing with pets.  The fabric pattern is specially designed as well and as such, hair and dander won’t get stuck to the cover.
