Having sides on the box act as a splash guard to keep the mess in the box, UNLIKE FLAT TRAY UNITS which permit urine to be sprayed on the walls or floor. The grass pad is secured in by the sides of the box, unlike “flat tray” units where the grass can easily slide off! The realistic grass has mutiple perforations in the rubber backing allowing the urine to pass through to the basin below. The unit is easy to clean. Just rinse the durable plastic basin and the grid. Such fast delivery! The box was shipped the same day that I ordered it. Very durable box and manufactured nicely. The grass was soft and realistic. I was tired of spending my money on pee pee pads, so I thought that I would try this for my little Chihauhau. He was used to pee pee pads, but would usually end up peeing on the walls or over the edge of the pad. I placed the box where I use to put the pads. I didn’t see him use it the first time, but a couple of hours after I unpacked it I looked in the bottom and there was urine. Great product! Hope to stop buying pads. Tim

My husband and I live in Florida part time during the winter months. We are avid boaters. We wanted a litter box to take with us and our little yorkie Samantha when we went boating! This has been a perfect solution. It is lightweight and very easy to clean. It is durable and snaps together very securely. WE had ordered the bigger size Rascal Dog Litter Box for our house which Samantha uses while we are away from our home, but we did not want to transport the litter box back and forth anymore to our boat. This will work out great! Is the perfect size for our little yorkie. I placed the new litter box where the other Rascal Dog Litter Box has been and she used it without any problems.
